What is Hope Week?
Hope Week is a unique community-wide, week-long series of events and activities designed to salute and highlight the spirit of Hope and its importance in the life of our community. Hope Week is rooted in the belief that acts of goodwill are virtually always related to more beneficial life outcomes.
Anyone can be a part of Hope Week. Expressions and demonstrations of Hope vary greatly, and that variety is encouraged during the week. Past events have involved groups and individuals in a variety of activities that included: household item collection for the Women's Crisis Center, food drives for the Food Bank, job fairs, pet adoptions, mentoring by sororities at area schools, hopeful art exhibitions, carnivals for special needs children, self esteem seminars for girls, knitting & crocheting, office projects at area non-profits, and testimonies of hope from cancer survivors. The projects have been as varied as the groups involved. The one constant has been and continues to be the emphasis on celebrating and fostering Hope.
A great way to participate in Hope Week is the Wall of Hope. You can create a Wall of Hope by selling paper Hope Dandelions to post on a wall or window in your business. The Hope Dandelions are $1.00 each.

Hope is like the dandelion gently blowing across the fields
Hope flourishes in unexpected places and thrives in unfertile soil
Hope spreads rapidly and is very difficult to kill.
And, Hope always brings a smile to the face of everyone it touches
Hope is – the breath of life
